In February 2010, I joined the board of directors of the Twin Cities chapter of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. Its mission is to “provide and promote opportunities for the development of young nonprofit professionals.” Getting better acquainted with the local nonprofit sector and my peers who are in it has been a joy. I am also quite proud of the initiatives I’ve been involved with as part of the Membership & Communications Committee. To date, these have included a website overhaul, beginning a data-driven effort to keep track of our members, and developing a session proposal for the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits Technology & Communications Conference.
